FOUR SEASONS GRILLE in the Village at Waugh Chapel in Gambrills, about 15 minutes from Fort Meade, is a charming mix of Mediterranean and American. Have you dined there yet?
I’ve been there several times, and always enjoyed the experience. Most recently, Larry and I had lunch there yesterday.
I ordered a Mignon B.L.T. – Sliced and grilled filet mignon topped with pancetta bacon, field greens, tomatoes and smoked mozzarella with mayo, served on ciabatta bread. Frankly, the “s” should probably be removed from field greens and tomatoes on the menu description because there was just one scrawny tomato slice and one partial lettuce leaf, but I enjoyed the sandwich and would order it again.
Larry had the Lamb Ragu Parpadelle – A tomato-based stew of slowly cooked, pulled lamb tossed with extra-wide egg pasta, topped with freshly shaved Pecorino Romano. He said it was perfect!
We were seated quickly and had super service from a gentleman in a dress shirt and tie, no less. The decor is different than any other restaurant in the area, with its pillars of stacked stone and fabric–upholstered seating. It appears they have a courtyard for outside dining in warmer weather, but we didn’t discover Four Seasons Grille until recently. You can be sure we’ll be returning many times in the future, especially when the weather is right for outside dining.
If you’re looking for a dining experience that’s different – not the typical fast food or tex-mex chain restaurant with antique toys and posters hanging from the ceilings and walls - give Four Seasons Grille a try. In the meantime, check out their website and learn about other local restaurants by the Monte Restaurant Group: Carpaccio Tuscan Kitchen and Wine Bar in Annapolis, Sazzio in Hanover, and Squisitos in Annapolis, Edgewater and Severna Park.

Sold! You had the right words. Four Seasons... Just sounds good. Filet Mignon. And Lamb. Nice write up on local restaurant. Good one, Margaret!
Sorry I'm so far away. Maybe some day when we travel out to see you.
Charlie, Thanks - It's unusual in these parts to have any one-of-a-kind restaurants. They tend to be the Applebees and Burger Kings of the world.
Terry, Sounds good to me.... my treat!
Gee - we could all meet you for lunch there is we were closer. Oh well - sounds like a great place!
Margaret, I just love your Localism posts, this restaurant sounds good enough to eat. :)
The 4 Seasons Grill sounds very nice Margaret. Nice work featuring an excellent local business.
