With spring quickly approaching, I realized it's time to post the last few winter photos I have.
I like the way his feathers are puffed out to protect him from the cold. I named this photo Chilly Birdie.
Maybe he's not just cold, he could be grumpy, too. I think he flew into something and managed to stun himself, so I'm going with cold and grumpy here. Teresa Boardman has taken some neat photos of birds for her blog, so I thought this would be a fun companion post, and it's a nice way to close out the cold winter season.

He almost looks frozen in place. Kind of like all the birds here in Minnesota. It has been fairly nice the last 3 days and I have seen more birds....they must be thawing out !
What a cool looking bird. The snow looks pretty and refreshing. I live in Florida and it's hot here today. I am actually inside the AC. Crazy weather going on all over the country.

Although the weather reporters are calling for snow after midnight tonight, I know spring is just around the corner.
Jonathan - Neat photos, but the bird should fly down here where he wouldn't be so cold. It is about 80 here today.
Hi Jonathan,
Thanks for sharing the great pictures, they are really good. Have a great weekend. Michael A. Caruso
