The lack of rain contributing to low groundwater levels at the Anne Arundel monitoring wells, has caused a continued delay of this year's wet season perc testing. Typically, testing is done between February - April.
When the season begins, the county will begin perc testing on a first come, first served basis. Applications must be registered with the Anne Arundel County Permit Application Center, 2664 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD 21401. You can also apply by filling out an on line application.
For additional information on perc testing in Anne Arundel County, MD, you can call 410-222-7193. This is the Division of Environmental Health in the county.
The Department of Health is responsible for deciding when, or if, perc testing will be allowed this season. Without adequate rainfall during April, it’s possible that the county could cancel this year’s wet season perc testing.
