The Fifth Section of the Southern Maryland Unsung Heroes and Heroines Series is a thank you to all the Southern Maryland Service Providors and Businesses whom you will meet along the way that make Southern Maryland the place where you want to both play and stay every day.
Post 5 of a 7 part Series Southern Maryland Unsung Heroes and Heroines needs to start with the people you encounter every day or so that make your day special. I am a big Starbucks fan, a big Panera fan, and a big Reader so you've got it, the folks at these places make my day lots of days! I like to run over to Prince Frederick Starbucks for NONFAT Latte and then swing by Prince Frederick Panera for their iced tea to keep me revved up til 9PM working plus this kind of breaks up the day. The Starbucks folks can ring my order before I place it and the Panera folks hoist a tea glass when they see me enter. Geez! Now this also means I stop by the Plum Point Trash and Recycle stop along the way and they greet me with smiles. Same is true for the Chesapeake Beach Post Office folks who all address me by name and always are a big, cheerful help.
Post 5 of a 7 part Series Southern Maryland Unsung Heroes and Heroines deserves a definte Chesapeake Beach and Prince Frederick Library mention. I like to pass along book donations because I keep them humming with new book requests. I actually keep a Kindle, the Library, and Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble all humming! The Library has a mail in program where you can have large print books sent with medical proof of need. It is marvelous! So are their efforts to always help me locate the most recent books I need to get my hands on. The Kindle which is a 60 second download is about my speed but the Kindle does not affer all titles and the book stores in Annapolis are fabulous but maybe a half hour plus drive. So the Library is wonderful in Southern Maryland. They even have a Friends of the Library gently used book sale a couple of times a year with blowout prices on hardbacks.
Post 5 of a 7 part Series Southern Maryland Unsung Heroes and Heroines are the unknown Moms who do at home schooling in out area. Special recognition to Barb T and Kathleen E for their remarkable efforts and results with their home schooled (wonderful) children.
