Government orders lenders to pay back homeowners for improper foreclosures
The recent reviews of foreclosure proceedings seems to be causing the Lenders to be more responsive to Homeowner inquiries and Short Sales. It appears that Lenders must make a greater effort to help Homeowners avoid foreclosures. Reducing foreclosures should help stabilize the housing market but unfortunately the banks are still holding foreclosure inventory. As this inventory is released it will impact the housing market.
