Moving is miserable. Let's not try to sugarcoat it. Moving is more miserable with a job, lots of kids, pets, and a house to sell. We moved. It is not 100% finished, but close enough. With a box of contractor trash bags, and a few trips in my hideous, brown, 10 passenger van, I should be complete.
We began a new way of life with this move. Back to MY way of life. No neighbors, running barefoot, life on the farm. Some would day the simple life, but nothing with me is simple. We left our beautiful 4000 square foot, luxury, newer home, for a 100 year old farm house.
It has been updated, but we are mananging to adjust with 6 kids in the house, and half the sqaure footage. I keep telling the smaller kids, there is "much to explore" in the fields and farmland that surrounds us.
Mistake? Maybe. The youngest, Jason, 5, decided his way of exploring was examining, and preforming dental procedures on a dead groundhog.
The kids love the new house. The pool, the horses, room to roam, and for some reason, they seem much quieter there. Maybe it is the open space?
