Montgomery County Schools and Staph Infections

Seven county schools report cases of staph infections, including our local community high school. There has been one case of MRSA, a more serious form that is resistant to antibiotics, in a school in VA. At our school and many others, the parents were notified and measures are being taken to prevent the spreading of the infection. These measures include a cleaning of the locker rooms and sending home the uniforms daily for washing. The main thing is for the kids to have good hygiene and wash their hands well.
