First-Time Home buyer Program Grant of $5,000 for MD, VA and DC

FHL Bank Atlanta's First-time home buyer Program (FHP) grant program provides up to $5,000 in matching funds for the down payment and closing costs of first-time homebuyers.

• Works best with FHA loan since finds can be used towards down payment and closing cost.
• The homebuyer must contribute at least $1,000.00
• The Homebuyer must have income that is less than or equal 80% of HUD median income for the area, adjusted for family size
• Purchased home must be used as the homebuyer's primary residence.
• Homebuyer must meet the definition of a first-time homebuyer (have not owned a home within the past 3 years)
• Home must be located in the bank's district, which includes DC, Maryland and Virginia.

• Owner-occupied 1-4 family properties
• Townhouses, condos
• Foreclosed properties
• New construction (within 30 days of closing)
