Home Residential Resale Statistics -- January 2012

January 2012 was a good month for Howard County, and fairly comparable to last year. Sales were up almost 9% compared to 2011, and the average sold price was almost identical, $384,627 versus $381,088, a difference of less than 1%. With 154 homes sold this past month, Howard County experienced an increase of over 7%, even though the number of active listings is down a little over 7% compared to last year. Average days on the market was almost identical to 2011, though two homes took over 721 days to sell and 33 took less than 20. Overall, a decent month for Howard County.
