It has been a busy past few weeks for me and hopefully all of you. Last week I was even pulling 12 hour days, which were a welcome change. I never thought I would not be complaining about working from the time I got up until the time I went to bed. Oh, how I miss those days. I even received 2 contracts on one of my listings and get this - one of them even had an escalation addendum. I had not seen one of those in years. At first I thought I was just busy because I had just got back from my ski trip and it seems whenever I go away and tell my backup that not much is going on, I come back to alot going on. However it is now 2 weeks later and I am still really busy. I think that we may finally be hitting the bottom of this bubble. At least I hope so. What are your thoughts?
Here are some market statistics for the month of January, 2008 in Cecil County
New Listings - 159
Pending - 69
Sold - 48
So far for the month of February we have
New Listings - 139
Pending - 115
Sold - 20 (although most settlements occur at the end of the month)
I will be interested to see what the true February stats are.
I think 2008 is going to be a good year, not a best year, but a good year.
