I haven't followed the races in years...we used to sneak into Roosevelt Raceway for the harness races. I haven't really followed the derby either but I like jai lai...excuse the spelling Len.

Hi Lenn, The race just ended 12 minutes ago, you are fast, lol Even the on-line news has not set it up as yet,lol

Lenn- You are fast, Nestor just came in and told me all about the race. I was catching up on some school stuff with Tristan.

Lenn, You had me fooled. For a minute there I was all excited that yo had actually embedded vidoes in your post THEN......noticed that you just took pictures of your TV screen. Now THAT"S funny!!!

Lenn:  I was fortunate enough to attend the Kentucky Derby to see Big Brown win and was amazed to watch him on TV  just cruise in to win at the Preakness.  Easy win for a beautiful horse!  I'd give anything to go to the Belmont.  Nice photos.

Lenn,

What a horse...he didn't even break a sweat...New York here we come!!! Thanks,   Fran

I hope you are so enjoying yourself Miss Lenn!  You deserve it girl!

Hey Lenn,

Knucklehead me missed the race but I head he won.

Lenn,

Great race, great finish.  I saw the movie Seabiscuit and this horse reminds me of him.

Sincerely,

Larry

Lenn, it's time to mix up a batch of the official sip of the Preakness - Black Eyed Susans!  I loved Seabiscuit, too - especially the book!  He ran fast cause he didn't like dirt in his face!  What you can learn from a horse!

(05/17/08 06:53PM) — Laurie Mindnich

Lenn, you are so cool.

Lenn,
Big Brown is one amazing animal, all the others were left eating his dust!

(05/17/08 07:40PM) — Lenn Harley

Laurie.  Big Brown is the cool one.

Patricia.  I suppose you learn that it's important that you know when to make your move.

Larry.  It was, indeed, a great race.

Hey Knucklehead.  Goodness, do you need a reminder for the Belmont?  The memory of Secreatariat running 31 lengths in front is the most spectacular sports events in my lifetime.

Don't miss The Belmont.  That's the long one.

Renee.  I am indeed.  I love these races.  Look forward to them every year.  IMO, they are the best sports event of the year.  I'm a sports junkie and I am drawn to any championship competition.

Fran.  What a horse indeed.

Bryant.  I ordered a flip camera this week  I'll try that.  The Canon I bought requires advanced editing and I have no patience.

Katerina.  It was a very exciting race.  No close calls.  A handy win.

Jan. It was an easy win.  Very exciting

(05/17/08 07:44PM) — Lenn Harley

William.  I'm taking lots of photos in case he wins he Tripple Crown, I'll have them.  Very exciting race.

Neal.  I used to go to Jai-Alai in Miami.  Fast sport.  Great sport.  Is there a sport that isn't great?

(05/17/08 07:46PM) — Lenn Harley

Cynthia.  That's the kind of race I love to see.  It's wasn't Secretariat at the Belmont, but it was very nice.

Leen, very exciting !! Hey a non real estate post. I love it.

(05/17/08 08:15PM) — Linda Scanlan

Lenn, how exciting it would be to have another triple crown winner! Love how you did this post.

Could we finally break the Triple Crown curse???  Wouldn't that be great!

Have been out all afternoon... working. A good new listing came out of it. From a seminar attendee... who came to 4 different ones. Truth is this is the first I heard of what horse won.

am going to be in DC for 10 days in june. maybe we can hook up.

thanks much for the kind comments you made on william's blog.

cheers

Len,  I haven't kept up with horse racing much this year but from what I heard Big Brown could win the triple crown.  Thanks for the update.

It will be exciting to see if he can win the triple crown. It would be a great event if he does.

Best,

Scott

He was just toying with them if he stays healthy it doesn't look good for the others.

Let's have a TRIPLE CROWN winner this year!  My father is hoping to see one more in his lifetime! Big Brown could be the one!

(05/18/08 06:06AM) — Lenn Harley

Missy.  Thanks.  If I post a non-hard core real estate post, it will probably be about a champion.

Linda.  Thanks.  These races are irresistable to me.

Cindy.  Indeed it would.  Indeed it would.  We'll probably never have another Secretariat, my all time favorite athlete.  But, Big Brown has a lot of charm.   If he can win the Belmont as convincingly as he did the Preakness, he'll be a real hero.

Gary.  Glad to give you the show.  It was spectacular.  I was in CE training all day and had to come directly home to see the race.  The odds of Big Brown making it three in a row are remote, but my fingers are crossed.

Jimmy.  You bet.  It was fabulous.

Unfortunately, I missed this race: although I never doubted the outcome.  I'm definitely not missing the Belmont though.

(05/18/08 05:24PM) — Lenn Harley

Matt.  Not to worry.  I'll post the results for you.

Lenn, Great description of the Preakness which is minutes from my home. We also watched on the big screen TV.

(05/19/08 03:59PM) — Lenn Harley

Margaret.  I love these races.  Yep.  Big Screen TV is the way to go.  On to the Belmont.

Lenn, Did you have a bet going? Is Big Brown going to make the Triple Crown? Keep having fun with the horses. We once had a share in a race horse.
