Sorry Delaware - I'm Staying in Maryland!

Hello Again!

It's November 2008 and I have a new plan. Previously, my husband and I were going to sell our lovely home in Frederick and move to Delaware to enjoy the beach life and retirement, for Jim at least. I intended to get my DE Realtor's license and bring my Boomer friends to DE with us! I just cannot imagine NOT working for myself or others - it's just who I am.

Stuff happens. We are getting a new Administration and President. I have hopes that this is going to be the change we all need, in the long run. The economy is still not so great - in fact it's pretty bad for so many of us. Even now with with lower gas prices, we still need more and greater things on the positive side to happen. Jim and I , like so many others, have watched our nest eggs shrink and it's not a pretty sight!

Thus, our retirement goals changed. Jim and I will both continue to work, stay near our new grandchildren and my soon-to-be married daughter. Jim has been offered a sales position with a small Bio Tech firm (33 years of Bio Tech sales experience) and I'm back in the job market again looking for that "perfect fit" in the role of Exec Admin. I know I will find the right fit and am very excited about the possibilities!

I have just transferred my Realtor license to Metro Referrals and it's a direction I've taken before so I know it can work for me. I have so many wonderful Realtor friends from the Long and Foster, Frederick Sales office and I will send them whatever business that comes my way. I'll miss the ones I got to know so well in the last year. They are a great group of agents and my Manager, Sharon Crisafulli, is an awesome force of the universe in her own right! I wish them all the best of success in 2009.

I wish all my Active Rain fellow bloggers the best of holidays and a successful and eventful 2009 to come!
