HOME "less" For the Holidays

I was cold when I got up this morning. It's 16 degrees out and my car windows were frozen, on the inside!!! As I drove through the streets of Baltimore City my heart was heavy for those that are homeless for the holidays. There is a van I drive by that I know has someone living in it so I stop to see, but he is gone, moved into a shelter I hope.

This holiday as you celebrate in the warmth of your home with plenty of food would you please remember those less fortunate and perhaps consider giving a small donation to one of the local shelters that try to provide.

Baltimore Homeless Shelters

Or better yet, be radical, do something to change the world, one person at a time. Here's my dare, the next time you see a panhandler or homeless person, don't just give them a handout, stop the car, get out and talk to them. In this economy more and more people are going to be in need and most of us have the ability to share with them or at least stop and talk and get to know another soul. You never know how you may touch their life or better still they may touch yours.
