Living in Deep Creek Lake all of my life, I can't say I've spent as much time as I have recently on the Wisp Resort ski mountain (at least since I was a youngster). We take for granted the beautiful landscape and abundance of activities that surround us. So, for the week of Christmas, I made a pact with myself and snapped on my snowboard to spend at least part of each day on the slopes. And, I was with the best of company - my boyfriend and his 2 wonderful boys. We taught them how to snowboard in just 1 day. The next 3 days they challenged themselves to tackle every slope except The Face (double black diamond). If you've never given snowboarding a chance, just try it twice. The first time is dreadful, but the 2nd time and thereafter it becomes addicting. Happy New Year!
