Just alerting you to what is going on right now in the lending industry. Large banks and lending institutions have become inundated with refinance applications. The natural consequence is that the increased and unexpected volume is severely hampering their processing channels and their ability to meet closing deadlines. I have personal contacts with lenders who can turn around a refinance within 1-2 weeks!
Please make sure your lender is reputable.
