Another Great Season

So finally I have decided to take the plunge into the world of Activerain. I've had my account for almost a year now so I think its time to start sharing. I've enjoyed receiving my daily news and events from Activerain members and I hope to add some value to the community.

I chose to write about basketball because it is something that is near and dear to my heart. I figure we've all had our fair share of information on the stimulus package, the fluctuating mortgage rates, and the never ending foreclosures and short sales. Basketball is a simple game that has shaped my life over the past 20 years. The 2009 Bullis JV basketball season has come to an end. This was my second year as the assistant coach. It was another season full of the typical ups and downs. Great win streaks and pitiful losing episodes.

For the past 4.5 months we've spent 5-6 days a week in the gym practicing and playing games. We finished out the season 10-7. It was a pleasure to see how many of our players developed over the season. Our team chemistry didn't exist until midway through the season. I'm proud of our players and I'm looking forward to working with the kids in a few months during summer league. I'll keep you posted on our season when it starts back up.
