Waiting for the right time to....buy a house? There is no "right time" that is the universal truth.
In a rising market, it is always seems like the right time, but this can be an expensive game of musical chairs, if you buy a house just to get into it. There is always a chance to get stuck in a house you don't love, a neighborhood you don't want, a commute that you hate or as many people find a home they can't realistically afford.
The timing is really up to the individual. But, there are so many decisions involved. Think carefully, but take action. Get advice from trusted advisers. A good accountant, REALTOR, financial planner will help you make good decisions for you. That might mean that you decide that this ISN'T the right time for you.
Remember, if you buy the house and actually pay it off, you'll be left with an asset that outperforms many others.
