Directions To The American Indian Cultural Center
Plan to attend the 26th Annual American Indian Festival & Pow Wow! Enjoy your visit and hope that you will leave with a better understanding of the history and culture of the Piscataway people.
For centuries, their ancestors inhabited the woodlands of Southern Maryland. Today, on the same land between the Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay, they continue to celebrate their rich heritage. Despite today's challenges, they are working hard to pass on their customs, values and history to current and future generations of Piscataway. Additionally, it is their hope that an acknowledgement of the
contributions made by the indigenous people of Maryland will lead to a greater appreciation and more complete understanding of the history and people of this state and nation.
The American Indian Cultural Center is conveniently located just twenty miles south of the nation's capital. For a map and directions, simply click on "Directions".

Rita - Sounds like so much fun! Wish I lived closer for I would be going. I was born in Washington D.C. and also lived in College Park, Maryland. Alot of my relatives still live in Maryland. I think Southern Maryland is a beautiful area which I have visited many times. Many boat trips on the Chesapeake Bay with my girlfriends when I was in College.
Rita, my mom and dad would love this event! They go to something similar here in Milwaukee each year.
