The water quality of Taylor Pond is rated as average. Ralph Gould and TPA president Dana Little test the water on a biweekly basis.

Wildlife is abundant on the pond. "Small groups of Hooded Mergansers, American Mergansers, Buffleheads and Goldeneyes," visit the pond during spring and fall migrations according to Dana Little. Children are encouraged to take swimming, tennis and sailing lessons. Adults enjoy socializing, tennis lessons and matches, and sailing races. Non-members may take lessons as well for an additional fee.
