Freeport Maine Home Sales May 2009

For the month ending May 2009 the Freeport Maine real estate market saw 8 single family and condo transactions transpire at a combined median price of 178K after sitting on the market for a median of 201 days. In May 2008 transaction volume was similar with 8 transactions but with a significantly high median sales price of 468K. This large change in pricing can perhaps be attributed to small sample size and a disproportionate number of Maine 1st time home buyer sales. The current inventory level is at 100, up about 25% from mid winter.
