Where you "practice" real estate now.
( I know I know it sounds like you and I are amateurs when using that in the classroom word "practice").
How do you say sale pending, under contract.
Real estate professionals have a lot of acronyms like CMA, GRI, FSBO and talk about the R, T, Z and CL a lot.
Many real estate agents, brokers talk pretty fast too so the buyers and sellers we work with might be out of the loop part of the time. Wondering what did he just say, what did he or she call what we are waiting for? Something about a clear to close?
And what the heck is an addendum? Is that part of your intestines, something to do with food digestion? Can't live without it so not like the tonsils, appendix.
When you deal day to day in the hurry up important real estate world, it is easy to forget that when a couple agents, brokers get to conversing, others may sense it is like the New York Stock Exchange floor banter.
If you and I exchanged where we list, market, sell real estate, swapped locations. Packed our bags, tooth brush and high tailed it. Giving up where we are licensed to sell real estate now to beam to some place new. How different the day to day would be. Not just the local area subtleties but prices for the same type properties just not matching up to earlier experiences elsewhere.
The local list of what's important real estate buyers so different. Maybe the top three or four must haves are all in the personal safety, gated community standards to be safe from crime is the end out in this real estate market. But in another, where there is no crime, lower population, a big view, bordering waterfront gets to ride in shotgun position in the front seat.
