Think about it...each year I find this week has several challenges. Many folks are gone out of state to family homes to visit. So getting into their homes to show them and finding the buyer not tied up with gift exchanges or likewise on the road to open gifts under someone else's tree. Or the owner and buyer are running to this church social, this kid's holiday sports classic or just are worn out from Dec 25th. They just want to be left alone to recharge and put their houses back together. Another challenge or distraction for some to get things done tax wise before the end of the year . The events all hurt production and efficiency. You hit alot of voice mails and get email auto responders indicating Sally Mae is gone to Vail until January 4th and will get you when she gets back. Along with the other 324 callers leaving messages to wade thru when she returns on crutches and with a neck brace. Also, the other half of workers, lawyers, secretaries, bankers and such that are working are half there. They are over worked due to short staff, and wishing they were in Vail skiing and laughing it up. Others are cranky due to either too much egg nog with sweetener during the Ho Ho Ho Christmas and all those office, neighborhood and civic groups parties. Or they are dreaming about resolutions and what they are going to do on New Years. Great, another year old some think...and they are only making 37 cents extra an hour since starting work back in 1967. Or dreading all those Visa bills from the ads that said don't buy gifts this christmas...fullfil dreams. Dreams can be expensive and they already had enough debt load. And for many, Christmas and that week after is one big depression where they are reminded of loved ones that are gone, either to the grave or children that have left the nest and the sound of absence is very loud in their homes. So what heck, maybe you should round up the kids, your brother Bob and head to a ski area...or jump on a cruise boat and make this holiday between week different. Whatever you do, Happy Holidays! Count your blessings, you have your health, eye sight to read this blog and hopefully have not lost your sense of humor. Like the "Tater Tater Rasin' Man " songs states..."I think I'm going to have my best year yet...I think I'm going to break even!" Get out that garden horse, flood the back yard and invite some neighborhood kids over for a little pond hockey. Get out the hot chocolate and hockey sticks! Dress warm!

Sounds good to me! Do you know how we can get this passed into law (lol)! Have a wonderful holiday -- including the week between Christmas and New Year's.
Andrew I'm all for it, but I've actually got clients this coming week and in this market I'm reluctant to turn anyone away, Karen Kruschka
Love the hockey rink in the backyard...just my size. Enjoy the holiday, Andrew.
Hear you Karen...sell them a property. But for a couple days head to a relative like brother, sister or to visit parents while you have them and you'll come back with a healthy perspective and fond memories of
family! Joan...I'll help you write the proposed legislation. In Europe and Canada too "holidays" as they call all the weeks off show the work around the clock manic Americans what life is all about. Have some fun..work hard when you are then but be able to shift gears for fun and family! Not Boston Fleet Center Bonnie but it'll work for the junior league! Expensive lighting too!
