University of Michigan Hires Rich Rodriguez

Welcome to MichiganThe wait is over....

University of Michigan hires Rich Rodriguez, from West Virginia as the new Head football coach at University of Michigan.

He will be introduced at a press conference Monday morning. Personally, I'm glad the search is over. It has been a month long search since Lloyd Carr resigned.

You can read the entire story on my Ann Arbor Real Estate Blog.

Last year, U of M. hired the head basketball away from W. Virginia, John Beilein.

Sorry, Jeff Belonger, I know you love West Virginia and Sarah Cooper, I know you do too.

Go BlueGO BLUE !!!

Thanks for leaving Coach Chiano at Rutgers. Good luck against Ohio State, I mean The Ohio State University. :)

Next year's schedule looks favorable ... seven home games. Only difficult road games look to be at Penn State and at Ohio State. Of course, I know how much weight Michigan fans put on that final game of the season. Those rivalries are a big part of what makes college football so exciting.

Oh Yeah - Let's Go Blue!!!  Now if I just bribe someone for tickets in the Big House next year; I'll have to plan a trip back to A2!

Wish I could say Go Blue! but being a Buckeye fan......LOL

How do ya think this guy will get along with Tressel?  Should be an interesting season next year.

And it's about freakin' time after all the rumors and teases.

Wow, I missed the news. The last I had heard was talk about the LSU coach. Did he turn the job down or wasn't he offered it?

Did you hear about the change in our schedules such that now we'll be meeting AFTER Thanksgiving, not before.

Carol, what do you mean you "wish" you could say Go Bl___?

Karen, LOL yes there have been enough rumors.

Elaine, calm down... you know what she meant. I din't know it was AFTER Thanksgiving. I guess they are tired of the Big Ten finishing their schedules so early when the other conferences have playoffs.

John, it is a huge tradition and I love it.

Carol, well at least it will be a competition. LOL

James, we have season tickets... what are you offering?

I've tried deleting this twice, won't go away. LOl

Ok, can someone tell me why this was indexed in about an hour from AR on my Google Alerts and still not on my new blog where the whole story reads?

Missy- Well, I don't know anything much about College football but I do know Hawaii is in the Sugar Bowl and I am going to watch that game! I am a west coast native.Favorite pro team is 49ers.  Katerina

Missy.... even thiugh you are on my subscriptions list, I followed your advice about Google Alerts and this popped into my inbox. So cool...

In any case, what's up with this?  Stealing my coach?  You now owe me a mortgage deal...  lol  And just a FYI, Sarah actually doesn't care for WVU. She is a Marshall fan. I just found this out last week.  And what's sad is that I didn't hear about this until I read your blog. Now what... damn girl.

It surely sounds like U of M fans are breathing easier knowing a replacement has been found.  I hope it's a wonderful marriage!

It's just football. Can he help with the Michigan economy? I'm glad the search is done also.

Can't say good luck but I am happy for you....I guess Coach T will have to get a new automobile.....he was DRIVING a Lloyd Car!!!!! heheheh.......

Yeah but you don't have Dingle Berry...I mean Berry and Dingle

Dingle Berry

Know it was tough going for you up there this year. You don't see many of those though, which makes it harder to withstand. Was a strange season all the way around.

cheers

Our home was in total turmoil for weeks.  Everyday my husband would obsess over Les or could it be?  It was an everyday conversation.  If there was information in the middle of the afternoon, he would stop whatever he was doing to call me with the information.  (I really didn't need to know right then.)  It was funny, he took it so personally.

I go through this with the Lions too.

Angie, I think Rich is a great decision and am looking forward to a new game.

BOB, LOL

Gary, it was a strange season. Thanks for commenting, been out of town.

David, see ya next year.
