Michigan Walleye Tour will return to Tawas this weekend
The Michigan Walleye Tour will hold a 2 day fishing tournament in Tawas Bay this Saturday and Sunday, according to organizers.
The tour travels to walleye locations in Michigan for events that culminate with a state championship. The Tawas Bay event is the last qualifying fishing tournament before the finale, to be held on Lake Leelanau in September.
Last year the organization's championship was held on Tawas Bay. Anglers in the group wanted to come back to the Tawases because they like the area.
