Time to get ready for the summer. The city park in Garden City, MI has something for everyone. You can take the family out and spend the whole day out here. Located at the corner of Cherry Hill and Merriman rd, this park is FULL of amenities.

Do you like to ice skate? There are different ice times for open skating, practice hockey and hockey leagues.

The swimming pool has been covered for the winter and is awaiting the summer splash fun.

There is a public pavilion with a fireplace that is available for rent. This site has hosted birthday parties, fund raisers, band contests, graduation parties and family reunions.

There are numerous picnic tables and grills scattered throughout the park among the tall oak trees. Bring your charcoal and throw some food on for the family.

The kids can play at any one of the four different play structures. Sure beats being indoors playing video games.

PLAY BALL... everything from little league games to adult softball games are played regularly all summer long on the four ball fields.

If you need to brush up on your skills at the plate, go to the batting cages for some extra swings.

If you like to walk, there is a 1.2 mile track that winds around the park through all of the oak trees. Very relaxing with that back to nature feel. Pets are welcome with sanitary stations along the trail.

You can even ride your bike or go roller blading........yes, that's me out enjoying a morning roll.

There are directional signs to avoid any collisions or surprises.

And I saved the BEST for last..........outdoor VOLLEYBALL courts. This is where you will find me this summer.
