The 2010 Census form. Black or BiRacial. YOU make the call.
Very heavy topic for some people to mull over and to me I don’t see the reason for it. My children were gifts from God to me and their mom years ago and that’s the way I see it. We don’t sit around the table and discuss what or who are we. We never have and never will. That was not the reason I had children with their mother who happens to be white. I loved the person she is and we decided to have OUR children. For those who may or may not know me personally I have written a few posts about my “girls” and I’m extremely proud of them.
They have brought me joy in ways that most of us parents understand. I remember them when I changed their diapers, went to school, tried to hide the fact there was a “boyfriend” and they didn’t want “dad” to know for fear he would break their legs (lol). From a man’s point of view no one will ever be “good enough” for their little girl(s). I still look at them that way to this day. They are mine until my God takes them from me. And yes they black even though their mom is white. No one can tell me I should not feel this way because this is how I feel. You know who you are and it is what it is. There is no changing that fact. My girls don’t have a problem with who they are. They already know who they are. They don’t have to be classified by anyone to prove their worth. They were raised to be individuals and to be there for each other. Nothing more. Nothing less. In closing we are all children of the Most High regardless of what we look like. Maybe there should a box with the classification “child of God”. Now there is a can of worms to be opened. Be Blessed.
