The Michigan Consumer Protection Act (MCPA) prohibits "unfair, unconscionable, or deceptive methods, acts or practices in the conduct of trade or commerce." A plaintiff who is able to prove that a business has violated the MCPA comes entitle to reimbursement for all attorney fees without limit. Section 4 provides for certain exemptions from the act. A real estate agent has limited exemption and is currently being upheld in the Michigan Supreme Court.
