A massive renovation project is planned for Frederick Meijers Gardens & Sculpture Park, one of The Most
Visited Sites in Michigan. Last year, over half a million people toured this West Michigan cultural attraction
in Grand Rapids. The Gardens are planning on spending 7.6 million dollars on additions and renovations.

Right now the Frederick Meijer Gardens and Scupture Park consists of 132 acres, 11 enclosed structures,
20 distinct gardens, and an outdoor sculpture garden with nearly 200 pieces of artwork.
The new environmental control system in the Conservatory roof will not only result in energy savings
but improved plant growth. The Conservatory has to stay at tropical temperatures no matter what the
climate is like outside. New solar curtains, that open and close on demand or preset conditions will help
the Conservatory caretakers respond to wind and sunlight on the structure's windows to help control
temperature.

Also planned are a permanent Tram Stop, more
convenient restrooms, and many inner office and
storage spaces. Work will also commence on the main entry with
enclosure of the outdoor canopy, boardwalk repair, a LEED certified
roof, security improvements, gift shop and cafe expansions.
If you haven't visited this marvelous attraction, you should plan a visit, you won't be disappointed.
