Helicopter crash in downtown GR
I was informed from a fellow realtor about a crash at one of our local hospitals. I have friends who work in one of them and my daughter is in her 3rd year of med school and she works down there. I called Spectrum east and my friend there knew nothing about it so my thoughts ran to my daughter (Adrienne) who studies and works there. I called and yes they don’t answer phones (go figure).
I paged her and she did call me back within 10 minutes. She didn’t know that it had happened. I remember when she was a baby (25 years ago). All of this comes back to you in a flash as a parent. I could go on and on but not now. She is safe and everyone there is safe. All I can say is that God was in it all the way. No loss of life? What a beautiful thing. I went downtown to look for a building for a client and by that time the streets were clear. Every few feet was a policeman pacing the sidewalks. Swarms of news trucks lining Michigan street. People from inside the hospital sitting about waiting for the all clear sign. It was pretty calm by the time I got down there. Pretty exciting for our city but I’m glad it’s getting back to normal. I;m glad your daughter is safe and well!
My 18 year old son had his first car wreck a couple of months ago. I was sick to my stomache till I got to where he was and saw he was ok.
I thought it was hard when they were little....it is just as hard when they are adults because we can't control their every move and they are away from us so much. When they don't call we wonder if they are hurt or dead!
I went to my daughters place and they asked why i was upset. I said when you become a dad you will know. The older they get the worse it is.
Robert
Glad to see your daughter is allright.
Sincerely
Your friend in Wisconsin

Tom. Thank you. I had to go and see her and give them both a hug. Life is so precious. And they are both precious to me.
Robert - As long as the Lord allows you breath, she will be your baby
Robert ~ If they only knew the love of a father towards his children. God Bless
Wow, Robert...I'm really glad this turned out the way it did. How scary!
Robert-I seen that last nite on the news and it is amazing that no one was killed, and I can only imagine how frightening that must have been for you...glad your daughter is safe.
Hugh. Yes she ALWAYS will.
Nicholas. And He(God) looked out for his. They both walked away from this.
Joey. It was real scary to be up close and see the building in person. That area was on lockdown for some time.
Patty. She wondered why i was so edgy. Another thing is the pediatric wing is near that helipad. I don't even want to think of what could have happened.
Robert, I'm glad your friend and daughter were safe and sound. Scary deal.
My goodness! How incredibly scary! That's not something you expect to hear about in your home town! Thank God there was no loss of life!
Duane. Very scary. All is well that ends well.
Kirk. You are right. It's susally somewhere else. I'm not accustomed to this and i don't know who else would be.
Robert, you are indeed blessed. You said it best...God was in it all the way.
Congratulations on your daughters educational pursuit. Best wishes to her.
Dionne. Thank you very much for your comments.
