The 11th Annual Tour De S.I.N.S

The 11th Annual Tour De S.I.N.S. is about to get underway once again. This year we've made a couple of changes. The Tour is a little later this year (July 28-31) and is being combined with the heretofore much smaller gathering known as "Russfest". So, the Chicago-based crew will feature some new faces from years past but a lively crowd, nevertheless. Planned activities look to remain largely similar to past tours: Thursday morning round of golf at St. Ives for the early-arriving folks. Thursday evening sees a twilight round at Tullymore followed by some relaxation over at Gregory's. By Friday, most of the participants will have arrived, taking part in the traditional lakeside bean-bag tournament, taking a boat cruise or two, and enjoying the first poetry slam. Friday night sees a twilight round at the Ives followed again by some relaxation at Gregory's and perhaps a night cruise on the lake. On Saturday, more bean-bags, a break dancing contest, and then a trip to Party Island where the crew will engage all comers in their annual Marco Polo festival. Late Saturday afternoon a subset of the participants will cast into the first annual Captain Hutchison Memorial Executive Tour accompanied by festive music and a handle or two with Diet. Saturday night is usually a bit rambunctious with gatherings at both Gregory's as well as a night cruise or two in conjunction with the traditional Saturday Evening dance party led by our own Dueche, world famous for his groundbreaking "ankle slap boogie". As always, all are invited and some are welcome to join us in the revelry. The TDS 2011 looks forward to returning to beautiful Mecosta County--look for us HQ'd on the Southeast shore of Lake Mecosta. Sounds like the place to be. Thanks for reading and see you there!
