The New Foreclosure Law & Foreclosure Opportunities - Legal Update

On Thursday, November 19th, Tom Richardson, lead counsel at Liberty Title, taught a 2 hour legal continuing education class at the Western Wayne Oakland County Association of Realtors office on The New Foreclosure Law & Foreclosure Opportunities.

The class with well attended with agents from Vision Group Realty, Coldwell Banker, ReMerica, ReMax Classic, Heritage GMAC in Brighton and Howell, and ReMax Platinum. In attendance was Michelle Allen, Gary Campbell, MaryAnn Czapiewski, Mary Doa, Josh Freeling, Natalie Goodwin-VanOyen, Deborah Johnson, Yvonne Marks, Lorena McMullen, Darlene Mengyan, Steve Mengyan, Diane Morris, Elizabeth Rozmarniewicz, Fred Ryckman, Karen Ryckman and Edie Veenstra.

Not only were the Realtors educated on the new foreclosure law, they also learned about the marketing opporunities available to them as a result of the new law and how the lengthening of this process may help a homeowner sell their home during the redemption period, there are also opportunities connected with those properties the banks have underbid on at the sheriff sale.
