MMW. Michigan’s Men’s Weekend with Brother2Brother.

This afternoon we leave for the weekend with a group of men to bask in the glory of our God. I have never been on one of these retreats before so I don’t know what to expect. With God you don’t know what to expect because “His ways are not our ways”. He does what he chooses to see fit for His children. It takes away the “I know what’s going to happen thing” that we think we know.

I have a little hesitancy because of the unknown. That’s just the person I am. I’m not one for surprises. But as we all know that can be changed. It’s thinking that we are in control of everything and we are not. God is in control of this whole mess. He’s the only one who can fix it. So I look to this weekend with open eyes. I look to God to show up in that place and reveal Himself. That was/is my prayer for all of the men at the retreat. To know that the Living God will be there with us and transform us and make us a better people. To enrich our lives with his love.

So in closing I will give a follow up next week to let ALL of you know how wonderful this upcoming weekend went. I’m stepping out on FAITH knowing that it will be marvelous.
