Follow up post to what NOT to do on Facebook.

Maybe they (Facebook) realize that there are issues inherent in using social media sites like theirs and they thought it best to give out points what not to do. When I first became a user I didn’t hear or see any articles about the pitfalls of usage but now twice in less than 2 weeks here is another article concerning (what not to do). Should articles like these be posted before you launch your product? Is safety not the first concern you should have when you “start” an online community?

Does it take issues that may happen to the users to prompt this. Does this excuse them if something negative happens to you or your family? There have been instances where FB accounts have been hacked and personal information has been stolen. It is partly our fault as well. Why do people put things out “there” knowing full well it’s information they DON’T want to world to see. You need to STOP. You need to take personal responsibility for what you do. Don’t wait for something negative to happen and then “cry wolf”. Facebook and any of the social media sites have a purpose. We need to understand the purpose and exercise common sense. Before you become the “victim” use a dose of it. It will help you in the long run. Make sure you look at the article below.
