The Bells were heard;
The knocking soon followed;
The personal groans were uttered;
The foyer was the destination.
We had been in the snow;
We shoveled & blew;
We were cold & tired;
We weren't expecting a visitor.
Out front we spied a vehicle bright Red;
The fur-hatted man with cheeks so rosy;
Held out his delivery of boxes so small;
Sal signed & brought them inside.
He brought them to the kitchen and pictures were taken:

As you can see here, we have two boxes & one plastic envelope [opened]:
...the larger box [6 X 5 X 4] contains:
Inducer Motot Kit..
...the smaller box[ 4 X 2 X 2.5] secures:
Blower Wheel [4" Diameter by 1.5" w];
...a Plastic sleeve with a 10 pk of Grommets [ of which we got three]
Why did we receive them: Well--for the Furnace needing Fixing that WAS fixed on Saturday.
Sal called and they will be picked up.
What totally boggles the mind is that these three small items are priced at $350.00 of parts.
We have the original Saturday billing; [we pay yearly for such protection & we don't pay if or when it is used]
But, this does bring up close & personal, the difficulty of the small business owner, the supplier--both large & small, & the number of such items they MUST keep in stock year-round.
These were brought via courier--but some owner in the area had to have them in stock; and someone had to pay for these parts in order to ship them to us.
The problem may not be in the "supply-chain", but rather than the 'output $$$' not yet translated into 'input $$$'.
Things to be kept in mind during all the discussion about 'State Budgets'.
