Gladwin City Tuesdays in the Park

The Gladwin Council of Arts features their TUESDAYS IN THE PARK summer series beginning on July 12 with THE BARONS OF BRASS, a Mid-Michigan based group of 5 musicians performing a genre-busting style of music that the group fondly calls "Music from the Sublime to the Ridiculous." They look forward to sharing their music with you.

On July 19, SONAS, a group playing lively upbeat Celtic Music. The group features Dee Dee Tibbits on hammered dulcimer, whistle, hurdy gurdy and a multitude of other instruments; Bruce Macartney on fiddle, guitar and concertina; and Tom Krause on guitar, mandolin, bouzouki and bass. They also include vocals where the three voices blend beautifully. Come see these talented musicians.

On July 26. TIM ROWLEY & THE TEN MILE CIRCLE, a group of local guys performing good, wholesome music. This group has played for several years at Tuesdays in the Park and is always wanted back by their many fans. Tim Rowley, Jim Willford, Dan Rowley, Jim Forgie, Jim Gower and Kip Fritcher always put on a great evening of entertainment. Come see them ��" you won't be disappointed!

There will be no performance on Aug. 2.

On Aug. 9, THE MEDALLIONS " Gladwinites EJ Gronda, Jim Forgie, Jim Gower and Dan Pahl performed in the 1970's and have come out of retirement and are playing their music again. You won't want to miss them!

On Aug. 16, THE BOOGIE WOOGIE BABIES, a trio of ladies singing music of the 40's through the 70's. Come to Tuesdays and hear the 1940's Revue, Boogie Down Broadway and Boogie, Beehives & Beyond.

All performances begin at 7 p.m. at the Gladwin City Park Amphitheatre, 240 City Park Street. Watch the local newspapers for more events throughout the year. Tuesdays in the Park is a wonderful event to bring your family and friends out to for an evening of fun and great entertainment.

Tickets are $5 per person per event and can be purchased at the Amphitheatre entrance on the evening of the event.
