The media i
s likely to soon turn its attention to the State of Michigan, where AR bloggers Sara Lipnitz and Josh Plummer are battling it out to see who will secure the highly coveted 3rd position in the state’s ActiveRain ranking system. As of this moment, only 60 points separate the two, with Lipnitz’s total points of 11,378 topping Plummer’s 11,314.
Realtor Lipnitz, though a blogging neophyte, has quickly built up a loyal readership that loves her almost as much as the men at the carwash love her. The Birmingham/Bloomfield Realtor rapidly ascended the charts, and analysts think she is headed even higher, though she has said that she is happy with being #2. One can ascertain that she is happy with being #2 as long as she gets to be #1 soon.
Mortgage guru Plummer, and author of Just ask Josh, has been blogging since June. The last few days he has been busy going to the beach and with his full time job making flyers for Birmingham Realtor, Maureen Francis, the author of this post. Plummer has found his niche on ActiveRain is writing mortgage articles that Realtors actually find interesting, joining an elite group with Brian Brady and a few others.
Plummer has held off Lipnitz until yesterday, when she briefly knocked him down a notch. There was a champagne and caviar reception at the Lipnitz manse last night to celebrate the victory. Alas, Plummer knew something she didn’t; Caleb Mardini hadn’t scored a few of his posts yet. For the last 24 hours the 2 have been rotating in and out of third. When Plummer’s back points suddenly appeared, Lipnitz quickly went into blogging overdrive with a direct plea to Caleb for favoritism.
When we reached #2 ranked Maureen Francis for comment today, she said “Points are over-rated. Ranking means nothing to me. I don’t know what those two are so worked up about.”
Pundits declare the race in the Mitten State is too close to call.

That is BY FAR the best post I've ever read. I sware if you don't get AT LEAST 400 points for that one, I'll give you 400 of mine! Its my hope that JP offers you 500 of his! :)
I give you the red heart baby. In fact, this is so good that I declare that you get the last red heart I'll ever give!
LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT
By the way... you've raised the bar! Very high!
I guess I am coming back out of my blogging slump.
the Term LOL was invented for what I am doing right now...sitting on my couch in my boxer shorts, Laughing My Ass off, Out load with nobody around...I have already woken my dog up, hopefully I won't wake my wife, because I may end up sleeping on the couch with my laptop instead.
Do you think that anyone other than the 3 of us will get the joke?
I just hope this race continues because I really enjoy reading both of their blogs.
Signed, Michele Bashor
# 2 in Gilbert AZ, #1 in your hearts.
Well I guess that Michele answered your question Maureen.
Sara is so much better looking but I gotta cheer for the home team.
Thanks for the nice compliment, Maureen.
Well a BIG thank you to you Brian! Plummer's out and you're in.
Sara, he cast his vote for JP. Home team is the other mortgage dude!!
It's late and I'm sleepy.... so I guess that they're both out!
Now don't be giving other people ideas. My #2 Washington position is on shaky ground and I could be looking at #3 come next week since I'll be computer-less for 4 days!
Sara:
The real winners of this contest are us because your competition spawns such ingenius information. (said jokingly)
(There is no doubt that I could win a Miss America Pageant...errr....Scholarship Contest if I had any talent.)
Absolutely awesome!! I sure hope this doesn't happen in Tennessee...I can feel Sherri breathing down my neck as I type...

I really am such a sandbagger....keep it close until Sara goes to bed, thats my battle plan....then the blogs come out at night!
1AM shes snug in bed with visions of Plum, Tangerine, Tomato, Lychee, or Kumquat dancing in her head...
but come 6-or 7 AM, shes #4 again.
Best of Both Worlds, you guys blog it out, we reap the benefits.
