Earth Day Coupons, Games, Offers, and Family Activities

When I heard that The Home Depot was giving away one million Compact Florescent Bulbs for Earth Day, I immediately went online to email all my Michigan friends and customers. There are several locations in Michigan. The two closest are in Commerce Township and White Lake Township.

Because many people do not receive photos and links in their emails, all information will be posted online. Please check here for lots of information from these Companies. Keep checking back, additional links will be added.

The following companies offer some type of Earth Day discount, activity, or suggestion.

Hi Gary, great info.  I wonder though if the EPA "kits" will include information on bush's policy on climate change, which the head of EPA says is working, given bush has no policy on climate change other than to refuse to sign the Kyoto Protocol!

Terry Haugen - STAGE it RIGHT!

Gary, great links...useful for many to get started. Everyone needs a starting place.

Thanks for the Great Post and comments!!!

Happy Earth Day!

Earth Day in my household has been spent looking for a lost gift card for Kohl's. Now that we have found it, I am insisting that my granddaughter watch one hour of programming on global warming. She is now falling asleep and I am back at posting and commenting in the rain, inside and out. Happy green day! It is going to take me weeks to get through all the great links provided here. You are bookmarked again Gary.

(04/22/07 04:24PM) — Sue Argue - NH Home Stager

It's a small effort, but I celebrated Earth Day by drying my kids' sheets and comforters out on the line instead of using the dryer. Very small contribution...but I hope every little bit helps...

Welcome Newbie (and very green) Burbank Construction to Active Rain today...Earth Day is the perfect day for their welcome. Please stop by and say hello.

Gary: You are on a roll guy! Now just how much time are you spending in front of that computer? Hope you took your wife out for a nice Earth Day Celebration.

Gary, congratulations. You did a bang-up job putting together these links. Very useful and a great place for everyone to get started and feel that they are contributing to a great goal!

Gary,

Thanks for the tip on the light bulbs at Home Depot.  I am a huge compact fluorescent fan, and didn't need much of an excuse to head on over and claim my light bulb.  Three gallons of paint later (thanks a lot, Honey), I got my "free" light bulb!

Thanks for doing all that leg work and sharing it. It is such a wonderful resource. I have it bookmarked. Earth day was windy and cold on my tiny section of the planet. I spent most of the day at a health fair but did have a great conversation about the refinemdnt of the energy-saving light bulbs and recycling.

(04/23/07 03:19PM) — Gary Smith, Realtor®

Bill,  my computer time was not wasted. No business was scheduled today. My coach has stopped me from watching TV, I have to make better use of my time.

Stephan, I kept on driving past my local HD, too many cars. More efficient to go at night.

Eloise, I'm sorry to hear about your weather. I would like some additional information on bulb types if you have it.
