It has been a couple of week since the last installment of the Farmhouse Renovation story in Saugatuck, Mi. As you will recall, this was a foreclosed property in Saugatuck Township that my clients purchased and decided to renovate.l
Lots has happened. Windows have been cut in the South side of the Saugatuck Farmhouse and ordered.
There will be a fantastic view and the sun which is low in the South in the winter will flood the kitchen and dining room.
The new furnance and air conditioner were also installed and the electric roughed in.
The plumber is starting with his rough in this week. Plumbing is quite a challenge as the choice of fixtures and design of the downstairs bathroom took quite a bit of time as does the pricing of the various components and the bidding out of the job.
The masonry under the rear of this Saugatuck home was redone by carefully digging out the old mortar which appeared to be more like sand from between the large stones and new mortar applied - and all this was done in a space that was about two feet deep.

Everything appears to be on schedule and the first phase of this darling, Saugatuck farmhouse renovation should be done by the end of April as promised.
It is fantastic to see this house come alive!
