Committee picks 61st Perchville King and Queen for the 2011 winter festival
Royalty for the upcoming 61st Perchville Festival has been announced by Tawas Area Chamber of Commerce officials.
This year's king and queen are East Tawas resident Jim Kolts and Tawas City resident Christine McDaniels.
Each year, the festival's king and queen are nominated by members of the public, the Perchville Committee looks at the nominations and for those who were involved in volunteering in the public.
The names are narrowed down and are further voted upon by the committee, which ultimately makes the selection. Congratulations to Jim and Christine!
