6 Steps to Preparing for a home showing – West Bloomfield home seller tips

4. Turn on all your lights inside the house. When it is gloomy, rainy it will make a world of difference. Even in the daytime, lights add sparkle and make the house a little more welcoming..

5. Take your pets with you or to a friends or a neighbor. Or leave them outside. If that's not possible, crate them or confine them to one room (a basement or bath), and let the real estate agent where they are. Leave some treats out if they are prone to barking. Every dog loves a treat

6. Leave. Seniors are notorious for wanting to be in the home. It is the worst thing you can do. Home buyers don’t want to be sold. They want to look at a house in quiet and not be afraid of talking to their partner.
