Bridges of Edina

Here's another great run that we just discovered...it includes a few bridges that help you get across the freeways and into different Edina neighborhoods... Check out the run on mapmyrun.com by clicking below. If you haven't used mapmyrun before, definitely give it a try. It's a great way to map out any routes that you run.

Here are some photos of the bridges that you cross during the run...

(above left) This bridge crosses Hwy 62...the north end of the bridge is near the end of Wooddale Ave... (right) and the south end of the bridge takes you to the Lake Cornelia Park

(above left) heading west on 66th Street we cross Hwy 100. (right) as we meander through the neighborhood north of Normandale Park we get to the Wyman Ave bridge

(above left)As we head north and need to cross Hwy 100 once again, we can pick one of three bridges for our run...to shorten up the run we can cross at Benton Ave or (right) there are 2 pedestrian bridges further north...

(above left and right) the pedestrian bridges are kind of cool...the spiral ramp must be fun on a bike!

This is our Bridges of Edina run...a great way to get from neighborhood to neighborhood...if you have any other great runs that you'd like us to share drop us a line and we'll add it to our mapmyrun routes..

And the best part of all these bridges, none appear to have gusset plates holding them together!  I would like to find a picture of the old Cedar Avenue bridge, the portion that spanned the main channel of the Minnesota River.  That was a swinging bridge if you recall.

You have an excellent looking website.
