Ask The Prescott GroupAsk

by Chris Prescott & Tricia Allenson

Hi Chris and Tricia,
I have been in real estate long enough to be getting busy, but not enough to have my own in-house assistant. Someone suggested hiring a virtual assistant to help with the stuff that I am not too good at. But it seems pretty pricey per hour and I just don't see how that would be helpful to me. Can you explain how can hiring a Virtual Assistant might help my business and how I can afford it?

Tricia: Congratulations on your increasing success! A virtual assistant can step up to help you along your way, especially with the advent of new technologies and internet-based marketing and databases. Working with a virtual assistant at your "side" helps you to focus on the business of making money!

Chris: I started my career much like you, GB, and as my business picked up I first decided to hire someone just to create nice, customized home flyers, then it moved on to mailings, enewsletters, websites, blogging, etc...

Tricia: But a VA can do so much more than that! A VA is truly a one-stop shop! They are professionals that have training in the corporate, small business, and real estate world and can even handle the complexities of database management.

Chris: The key for you to remember is that you need to concentrate on the $100/hour tasks that are most profitable to you as a salesperson.

Tricia: If something is taking away from your time selling homes, then you need to be delegating that a VA.

Chris: You really only have 2000 working hours per year (40/week x 50 weeks) so be sure to use them for $100/hour work!

Tricia: The Prescott Group will tailor our VA services to fit you and create a unique working partnership with you. Whatever your professional needs are, we can make it happen!

Chris: Good Luck, GB! Let us know when you are ready to delegate to our virtual assistants!
