I couldn't quite believe that the grocery stores were making such a big deal out of Veteran's Day. I mean, yes, let's honor our heroes any way we can....but do we feast on Veteran's Day? Not unless, like our family, we have somone who happened to be born on that day.
But, here is some great information on how you can help the Wounded Warrior Project very simply by buying selected grocery items.

Visiting this website gives you the following information:
Look for the insert to the right in your newspaper on Sunday, November 6 to learn how to access $50 in valuable savings on some of your favorite brands like Clorox, Heinz and many more. You will see savings at the checkout counter and each participating brand and retailer has contributed to Wounded Warrior Project™ to support programs and services that honor and empower Wounded Warriors.
In our local grocery "shopper", for instance, it has at least 8 products that were eligible to be purchased with a contribution to the progam.
It's easy, it's likely something you need anyway, and the grocer contributes to a great cause.
Sounds like a WIN-WIN-WIN to me.
