The Metro-Paint-A-Thon is currently taking applications for homeowners who

Own and occupy a single-family home in need of paint , but not in need of major repairs

Live in the Seven-county metro area

Are 60 + years or have a permanent physical disability

Meet monthly income guidelines

If you or a friend, neighbor or family member think you meet those criteria, call 612-276-1579 to request an application or download one at www.paintathon.gmcc.org. The deadline to apply is May 4th, 2012.

This organization has been helping people since 1984, and I actually participated in one of the first.

It is sponsored by the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches and has assisted more than 6,250 homeowners.
