Fishing for White Fish and Slab Crappie On Big Sandy Lake

Wow what a time to be able to go fishing if you can get away from the rat race this week! Big Sandy Lake is located just a couple of hours north of the Twin cities.

This past week and this week have been absolutely great for fishing White fish and those big Slab Crappie on Big Sandy Lake. They have been getting them in 23-34' of water and with everything from plain jigs to larvae most of the Crappie have been anywhere from 9" to 14" and I must say it does not take allot of Crappie to feed a family of 4 with those size fillets.

Big Sandy Lodge and Resort had a Awesome breakfast Buffet for Easter last weekend and the head Chef served some of those Smoked White fish for the Buffet and I heard they were fantastic. Tim is a resident of Big Sandy Lake and fishes all the time and is a very skilled fisherman.

I again hope to get out sometime this week to go fishing as last week I had an appointment to show lake-shore to a new client. So this week we will see. I only want to go for an hour or half a day or maybe all day!!
