YAY!!! Spring!!!

You know it's Spring in Minnesota if..................

  1. People use 2x4's to cross open water to get too the ice to catch a crappie!
  2. Your backyard is a mine field with 6 months of dog poop!
  3. It's 40 degrees, and you contemplate wearing shorts!
  4. You do wear those shorts, and your legs are whiter than the sheets you sleep in!
  5. You see your neighbors for the first time in 6 months!
  6. Your office pool is NOT the Ncaa, but when the ice will go out the lake!
  7. You go to Gander Mountain and buy a Fishing License!
  8. You anxiously await that inevitable spring snow storm!
  9. Buyers start showing up at your Open Houses!
  10. You see people driving in convertibles, and you KNOW they have the heater on high!
  11. My personal favorite, people just smile more! We survived another Minnesota winter!

Happy Spring Everyone! Anyone else have Spring favorites??

I would ad one more thing for NH -- I am SNEEZING my head off!  Yes, the pollen is a sure sign of spring!  Time for the large Kleenex box!  Oh Well, I'm ready -- bring it on.  Welcome Spring.

Ahhhh Yes!  Allergy season!

As a Lifelong Minnesnowtan, I can not believe I forgot two BIGGIES!

It's spring when:

  1. The nightly news primary focus on road closures due to road construction!
  2. Mosquitos as large as Whopping Crans start to appear!

I LOVE spring!   I was out listening with a buddy for Wild Turkeys this morning!  ANother fun Spring passage!  (Some of you are thinking Huh?  That's fun???)

1.  Driving down a country highway is a slow process because the farmers are trying to see how much standing water is in the neighbors field.

2.  The farm tractor cruisin down the highway in front of you (at 35 mph) was the back hoe hooked on instead of the push blade.

3.  The KMSP lead story is "When will the barge traffic start on the Mississippi?"

That's Great Terry!

You can tell you are from the Upper Midwest!

Here is another one............

You know it's spring if

  1. You get that sweet smell of manure on the fields!
