Questions that must be answered!

  1. How crazy is my loving? My wife has never complained. But she's from the area, more or less, as well. So what would a girl from another state think?
  2. Kansas City wine? Please. We have a rich beer brewery history. But wine?
  3. Why is it I know the song lyric as "crazy little women there and I'm gonna get me one" and the lyric says otherwise? (Think: What's suitable for radio play in the '50's and '60's.)

Chris, I remember Little Richard singing Kansas City; it was "crazy little women" in his version, and that goes back half a century!  As far as the wine goes, I suppose if you drink it in Kansas City...

Then Little Richard was a sell out!!!  :)

Actually, little known useless fact, Missouri was once a large wine producing area.  I saw that on some promo piece once.  I cannot verify or source it.

I grew up in Topeka, and my first thought at reading the lyrics is that Kansas City wine has really gotta be rot gut!  Yikes!  
And crazy little "women"?  Look at that record jacket, man!

Chris - interesting lyrics.  Didn't know the song said what you had posted. 

As far as beer goes I do NOT consider this a beer town.  As a matter of fact, I was quite shocked when I moved here to find the selection to be so lacking.  Oh well.

Dianne - Thanks.  Great place to raise kids.  But I miss DC.

Paul - We do have Boulevard, which I love. And if you are speaking of the last 40 years you are right.  But KC was a major brewery city quite some time ago.  It had tons of breweries before prohibition.  Hardly any survived those wicked times, however.  :)
