Missouri HB1531 Prohibits businesses from sending unsolicited commercial mail to people who register with the Attorney General. That's right no post cards, no Christmas cards and God forbid no advertisements.
Proposed by two dimwitted Democrats Trent Skaggs and John Burnett this bill seeks to stop us from sending snail mail. Don't laugh these idiots actually proposed it!

I can imagine they would also have a NO-Mail list we can purchase to make sure we are abiding by their draconian guidelines.
It's not enough that we are suffering from the worst real estate slow down since TEFRA and that real estate values have hit record lows, now we may not be able to send a post card to prospective clients, not even a Christmas card to our neighbors.
What kind of moron is so incapable of using a trash can that they are victimized by a post card? I guess if you live in Florida and can't figure out how to vote, then you might fall into that category.
We live in a culture of victims, I can't hire my neighbor kid to mow my lawn because if I did he'd get some damned trial attorney to sue me for violating child labor laws and endangering the welfare of a child. After that the little video game addict would request disability for his emotional distress! We are screwed!
We've gone from the greatest generation to the most dependent generation in two generations.
If you are too incompetent to throw a post card in the trash and you need government intervention to save you call Jack Kevorkian!
Thankfully after doing a bit more reading I found that this bill died. I see now that this legislation was proposed nearly two years ago.
