I have a Christmas Plan in Springfield, Mo!

Well, here it is Sunday night in Springfield, MO and there is still so much to do! I managed to have another working weekend along with an Open House. I have made my list for the upcoming work week and put up the Christmas tree. Yippee!

Here's the thing, I am horrible about wanting to decorate the Christmas tree before December 1st. Once it comes, I feel like I am running down a tall mountain in front of a big, wet snowball. I almost see it as wasted effort, if I don't get it done before my so call deadline.

I love the idea of pulling out each of my collectable Santa's and Angels and remembering each Christmas with family and friends. I have some special ornaments, including corn shuck angel and baby Jesus that were made for me when I was 8, from a family friend, Jewel Sanders. Jewel has been a Master Craftsman at Silver Dollar City and her ornaments have even been placed on the White House Tree. Jewel and Neville, had children my age that I loved seeing each year. Now Jewel and Nevelle have have Great Grandchildren. Wow how time flies!

I love the traditional events, throughout the Christmas season. I love baking cookies with Rick and going to the parades, making a visit to Silver Dollar City to enjoy the shows, lights and food. There is shopping down at the Branson Landing, the Christmas parties with friends, being with family on Christmas morning, and possibly a jaunt up to Crown Plaza in Kansas City. Of course there are the Christmas letters that have to go out before December 10, the calendars before 15th, and the Happy New Year cards have to be written. I have been making treats for past clients and have to plan out my times to stop by and visit. It has become the highlight of my pre-Christmas events.

I am so glad I knocked out the tree, now it feels a lot like Christmas! Do you have timelines for the Holidays? It seems that this is a Requirement in my life to GET IT ALL DONE with a Joyful, Happy Heart!
