Sadness and Life

Sadness and Life

Life is full of Sadness,I logged on to my Facebook account after returning home from a hospital visit with my precious dad. Immediately noticed a friends post about someone dying and what a sad day it is for her family. We all have felt the Sadness of life. If you haven't consider yourself blessed.

On Facebook, I've shared many happy times and sad times with my friends. What an appropriate time to say; thank you for your thoughts and prayers during the times of sadness in my life.

Lot of sadness and depression in my daily life right now, excuse me while I take this call//// I just turned down a BPO, I must be depressed because I could have used the money.

Back on serious note and the blog, please continue to pray for my parents. Thank you, and I promise to keep you posted and give more details when we know more. In the meantime I was wondering:

What is the difference in Sadness and depression in Life?

Interesting Reading http://depression.about.com/cs/amidepressed/a/sadness.htm

Although depression is often thought of as an extreme state of sadness, there is a vast difference between clinical depression and sadness.

Sadness is a part of being human -- a natural reaction to painful circumstances.

Depression, however, is a physical illness with more symptoms than just an unhappy mood.

The person with clinical depression finds that there is not always a logical reason for /her dark feelings. Exhortations from well-meaning friends and family for him to "snap out of it" provide only frustration, for he can no more "snap out of it" than a diabetic can will his pancreas to produce more insulin.
